Over a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, Patricia has served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), and held senior operational leadership roles across some of the most complex, high-stakes, and globally significant organizations in the world — spanning healthcare, aerospace and defense, technology, chemicals, and industrials.
Her career is a masterclass in leading people strategy at scale — navigating workforce transformation, organizational design, culture change, executive development, and sustainability across industries that collectively touch millions of lives. At every stop, Patricia was not simply a participant in the room. She was often the architect of the strategy, the champion of the people, and the voice that made both possible.

Career Highlights Across Industries

Most recently, Patricia served at UnitedHealth Group, one of the world’s largest and most influential healthcare enterprises, in dual roles as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer. In this capacity, she led enterprise-wide people strategy, talent development, Culture & inclusion initiatives, and the company’s sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and health equity agenda — overseeing programs that impacted hundreds of thousands of employees globally. She retired on December 31, 2025, closing a chapter defined by transformational impact at an extraordinary scale.

Patricia served as CHRO of Lockheed Martin, one of the world’s premier aerospace, defense, and security companies. She led the creation of human capital strategy for this Fortune 100 enterprise, she led workforce planning & development for a highly specialized, security-cleared workforce; oversaw talent acquisition, executive development and succession planning across the enterprise and technically complex business units; and drove culture and leadership initiatives in a mission-critical environment where people excellence directly supports national security. Her tenure at Lockheed Martin stands as a defining chapter in her career — demonstrating her ability to lead people strategy in the most demanding and consequential of settings.

At IBM, one of the world’s most storied technology and consulting firms, Patricia held senior HR leadership roles that deepened her expertise in large-scale organizational transformation, global talent management, employee experience and workforce strategy in a fast-evolving technology landscape. Her experience at IBM gave her a distinctive lens on the intersection of innovation, talent, and organizational culture — a perspective she continues to bring to her clients today.

Earlier in her career, Patricia spent over a decade in progressively senior leadership roles at DuPont, where she helped shape the strategic direction of a global business with operations across the U.S., Asia, and Europe. She led the integration of newly acquired business units, built the workforce and competency frameworks that strengthened organizational capability, and championed high-performance, team-based operating models. Across these roles she consistently translated business priorities into measurable results—reducing cost structures, improving productivity, and aligning talent strategy with enterprise growth.
Board Leadership
Patricia currently serves as an independent Board Member of Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA), a global automotive technology company and Fortune 500 enterprise. In this capacity, she chairs the People and Compensation Committee, and sits on the Governance & Sustainability Committee bringing her deep expertise in human capital strategy, executive compensation, talent development, sustainability and organizational excellence to bear at the highest level of corporate governance. Her board service reflects her standing as a trusted authority not just within organizations, but at the table where strategic oversight is exercised.

The staggering rate at which African American women have been impacted by corporate layoffs and workforce disruption over the past year is not just a statistic — it is a crisis of talent, opportunity, and belonging. Patricia has watched brilliant, accomplished professionals be pushed to the margins of organizations they helped build — and she has decided to do something about it.
Throughout her career, Patricia mentored and coached hundreds of professionals, many of whom credit her guidance with the pivotal breakthroughs in their careers. Now, she is channeling that lifelong calling into a full-time mission: equipping talented professionals — in leadership — with the tools, strategy, and community they need to rise, recover, and lead.
